Webinar “The Certification Body Perspective” Content

PlanningOur free webinar on April 12 included a presentation by one certification body that is being proactive in the interpretation of ISO 9001:2015.

They have produced a tool to be provided to their auditors and customers that explains what is expected by them during audit of IS0  9001:2015.  It ensures a consistent approach by auditors and is a great training tool but also provides a basis for implementers to understand what is expected of them during an ISO 9001:2015 audit.

The presentation covered a number of topics including:

  • Introducion
  • Background and restrictions (ISO17021, IAF, ANAB)
  • Timelines and deadlines
  • Costs
  • Approach to key issues
  • Interpretation of significantly different requirements
  • Transfer
  • Questions

The recording of the presentation is available here:

There were many questions generated over the course of the presentation.  Here is a FAQ document completed by the certification body.

All of the excitement was about the expectations tool which is available here:

Please note that the expectations document in particular may get changed and updated.  You should contact PlatinumRegistration.com to ensure you are notified of changes.

Cavendish Scott thinks that this approach is ideal for most organizations to help them better understand how their ISO 9001:2015 system is going to be audited.   It also demonstrates a real commitment from Platinum to their customers, one that we have not seen from any other certification body.  We have “limited” auditor training from certification bodies but nothing substantive and no explanation of what to expect.  If your certification body is not telling you how they are going to audit your system….you need to find one that does.
