Environmental management systems ensure organizations understand their interactions with the environment and control those interactions to reduce impacts, prevent pollution, and contribute to the environmental pillar of sustainability. An EMS goes beyond compliance with regulations and can help an organization lower costs, provide products and services with fewer risks, reduce waste streams, and use EMS controls designed to improve outcomes for the bottom line as well as the planet.
The objective of our EMS Overview Workshop is to introduce participants to the concepts of designing, planning, implementing and running an environmental management system. This interactive workshop will use real-life examples and a case study to explore and understand how an organization can identify environmental interactions and their resulting impacts to effectively plan an EMS. Cavendish Scott Consulting and Auditing
Not sure that training will be enough? Even with the best training, your team has other work to do and these projects should not be taken lightly. And there is no alternative to years of experience, working with ISO and management systems every day. Training will give you important understanding and capabilities, and you will gain confidence in our experience, passion, and expertise. Consider engaging us to help with a full or specific consulting assignment or to help with your internal auditing program.
In practice, it is impossible to take all your organization’s ISO/AS Team, Internal Auditors and Management out for training. By bringing the course in house to your organization, training fees are minimized, your expenses for sending personnel to public training are non-existent and management can make it! We also customize the training for you in your current situation. We use examples of your documentation for examples and exercises, we discuss your scenarios and identify best practices and solutions appropriate to you.
This is an excellent approach that will provide better, less expensive training and more specific benefits directly to your organization and your ISO program. Email for more details.
Custom in-house with Different Management System Standards
The course can be presented using any ISO Standard (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485, etc.) or a combination of standards (e.g. ISO 9001 and ISO 14001). Our courses are designed such that during some public courses, it is possible to utilize different similar standards. For instance, if your interest is in AS9100 or ISO 13485, you can attend any public course based on ISO 9001 and still receive the same learning and benefits.
If you host a training course and allow attendees from other companies to attend, then hosting a course can be even more cost-effective for you. We discount your course fees for every additional attendee that you allow us to place in the course you are hosting. If you find potential attendees (e.g., among your supplier base) then we will give you an even bigger discount. We’ll handle all the administration and even help you offer the course (at discounted rates) to your suppliers. We understand that not only is ISO important to your organization, but this is a great opportunity to get more involved with your suppliers about a subject that is likely to benefit you both in the long run.
To encourage you maximizing your knowledge of environmental management systems, we are offering a discount for those who signed up for our February 4 EMS Basics Workshop. Enjoy 10% off our three day ISO 14001:2015 ELP Internal Auditor course.
